It's that time of year again, folks. Time to blast the world into submission with a bit of Slayer.
How does one go about this? According to the National Day Of Slayer website, the following tips might come in useful to those of you participating for the first time:
How to Celebrate:
Listen to Slayer at full blast in your car. Listen to Slayer at full blast in your home. Listen to Slayer at full blast at your place of employment. Listen to Slayer at full blast in any public place you prefer.
DO NOT use headphones! The objective of this day is for everyone within earshot to understand that it is the (inter)National Day of Slayer. National holidays in America aren't just about celebrating; they're about forcing it upon non-participants.(Actually, these days, holidays in America are about trying to celebrate without offending anyone, but I digress.)
Sounds great! I have the perfect, 35 year-old country music loving dickhead* of a co-worker who is going to find today a bit...uh...nerve wracking...as I'm given free reign over the music in the warehouse where I work. (*And let's be clear: Not all people who listen to country music are automatically dickheads. This guy to whom I'm referring is 100% D.H., even without his choice of music factored in.)
So without further ado, let's begin shall we?
Hail!
Oh, and today is also Slayer bassist/vocalist Tom Araya's 50th birthday...
