Instead of making a mark in Bollywood the actress did well in South Indian Tamil Cinema where she recently acted in a movie Vaaranam Aayiram directed by Gautham Menon which proved to be a hit. Other than her debut film, the actress also worked in Darna Mana Hai, Musafir, Plan, Naksha, Taxi Number 9211, No Entry, Fool and Final Race, One Two Three, Naam and her 2009 films are Red Alert - The War Within, Aladin, De Dana Dan and Blue.
Sameera Reddy is believed to have lost weight for the film and done extensive make up to pull off a slim good looking modern girl. Her role in Bollywood flick Musafir gave her a glamorous image, one that she has evidently tried to shed through her choices thereafter.
